Godfrey of Bouillon, a crusader present at the fall of Jerusalem and the opening of the portal to hell in the year 1099. Godfrey was dragged screaming into the yawning maw where he was suffused and distilled in the primordial sin. The first to be bathed in the unholy ichor and the first to step from the portal to hell, marking the coming era of war.
In the centuries since, Godfrey had led a splintering force of heretics and abominations through the Adriatic Sea, leveling entire regions in hellfire with the flying monstrosities under his thrall. Now, Godfrey marches on Bavaria through the Switzerland Alps, striking at the heart of the Holy Roman Empire. The first blood to spill on the untainted lands of Bavaria will see Trostberg as the first warzone.
