About Trench Companion
Trench Companion is a fan-made tool designed to support players of Trench Crusade. From building your warband to running full campaigns, it brings all game content into one place – streamlined, accessible, and always up to date.
In Service of the Crusade
Trench Companion is made by passionate gamers with love and respect for Trench Crusade, its creators and the community. We have poured our hearts and souls into this app and will continue to do so in order to provide the best possible experience for Trench Crusade players.
As this is a 3rd party tool, we are not directly affilliated with Factory Fortress Inc. but maintain a very positive relationship. We rely completely on your support to keep the servers running, so if you want to support our efforts, it is much appreciated. In return we do not ask for much: our premium subscription is very affordable and we want to keep the app as accessible as it can be. We also do not want to gate any important content behind paywalls and aim to keep this app completely free to use. Any premium features will be entirely cosmetic or expansions that involve concerns about security or incur additional costs.
Roadmap
We’re continuously developing Trench Companion, with new features and content planned well into the future. Below, you’ll find a roadmap showing our current release stages and what’s coming next. We appreciate your feedback, feature ideas and are excited to have such an engaged community. See our roadmap for more details on what we have planned. In any case, we are constantly improving teh app in all sorts of areas, the roamap is a rough guideline and schedule we have set for ourselves.
UI / UX Improvements and Quality of Life – Q1 2026
After having released the core of our app and keeping up with the newest update, we want to focus on improving the overall experience. Below are some things we want to work on:
- Improving load times
- Usability of the Warband Builder
- Usability of the Campaign Manager
- Adding a Random Scenario Generator
- Improving the Game Reporter
- Additional settings in the Campaign Manager
- Adding guides and resources
- Improving Data inconistencies and overall usability
- Global statistics and insights on warbands, matchups and win rates
Play Mode – Q1 2026
The next big feature in our release schedule will be the addition of the play mode. It lets you connect to opponents, select a scenario and use one screen to play the game. You will be able to reference all participating warbands and scenario details in this view. In addition, you will be able to track scores and glorious deeds for the participating warbands and easily report them to a game report.
Carcass Front Expansion – Q1 / Q2 2026
As soon as we hear more about the new Carcass Front expansion that is scheduled as the next big release for Trench Crusade, we will start working on it. We do not know when this expansion will drop, so the date of this update is somewhat unknown. We expect it to be released before the summer of 2026.
With the carcass front update, we want to also add a hex based campaign management system that is not tied to a specific campaign setting, so you can create your very own hex based map.
Pride Cometh Update – Q2 2026
With the functional issues sorted, we can finally improve the experience for our premium members even further. We will add several additional features that will be available for paying members.
Homebrew Content
We want to enable our users to create homebrew rules and use them in our warband builder. This will let you set up and manage warbands using your own homebrew rules. In addition we want to make the most popular 3rd party warbands that may not be directly supported available for our members. This includes the warbands from westfalia for example or whatever the community deems to be worthy.
Image Uploads
We hear you – you want to use your own images as profile pictures or in your warband. We want to enable you to do so. However, this comes with some security concerns. We want to get it right right away. Not only do we want to enable you to upload images as your profile picture but also use them in the warband builder as well as the campaign manager and in Game Reports. We fondly remember the days where players would upload their painted minis to different forums and we might include an interactive art gallery function as well.
Additional styles
We appreciate every one of our premium members – you are what keeps the servers running. And we want to honor that. We have planned to include more options for you to make your profile stand out with images, styles and a user flair. If it is feasible, we would like add different skins and layout styles so you can customize your experience even more.
