In the Warband's first battle, Elisheba was one of the last soldiers to be defeated by the New Antioch forces that had assaulted the Warband. Though she fought like a mad wolf, she was overwhelmed by several opponents, who battered her with cuts and blows before she could taker anyone out. The slash of a trench knife took her left eye, leaving a terrible gash that somehow only made her piercing stare even more terrifying.

In his first Battle, Brother Joshua took several disabling hits in the first round, leaving him unable to fight for the remainder of it. He managed to recover without any lasting consequences; and, because of his knowledge of latin and his habit of writing down his experiences in journals, he was promoted to the Warband's primary scribe.
Lore
Brother Joshua was a parish priest in the Kingdom of Alba when he got his visions of Moses and the Exodus. Replacing his previous vows with the vows of the Pilgrims, he set out to Aachen to learn the art of combat and to find fellow travelers to take with him on his holy journey. He quickly made connections among the Procession of Sacred Affliction, adopting their ways and their heavy millstones. From them, he also learned of the prophecies of Elisheba and the Warbands of the Wanderers of Moses. Moving to Bavaria, he swore fealty to the Stringent Prophet and became her first follower.

Hailing from the Eire, David started off training to become a soldier of New Antioch. During mock battles and training exercises, he earned a reputation of punching far above his own weight, even disabling a suit of the Mechanised Heavy Infantry with only a trench club. His comrades ended up calling him "David", alluding to the biblical tale. In his heavy boozing, David eventually forgot what his original name even was, only going by this nickname. He left his training once he got his visions, moving to Bavaria once he heard the of the prophecies of Elisheba.
